chapter four
1let us therefore ourselves have fear, lest, while it remains for us a promise, to enter in His rest, appears yourselves out, that anyone of you (PL) remains left (behind)/fall short. 2because also us, exactly as to those, is a News Good announced become; but those (who) heard word did them nothing benefit, because it is not was tied in with faith with the hearers. 3because we, the believers, come into in the rest, as He has said:
so have I sworn in My wrath,
that they will not enter in My rest into;
although the works are was completed from the beginning of the world. 4because concerning the seventh day has He in a certain place so said:
and the seventh day has Hashem rested
of all his work;
(Genesis 2, 2)
5and in the this one place again:
they will not come in in my rest.
6therefore, so as it is remain for some to enter in the rest, and the (ones), to whom the News Good is to the first announced become, did not come in through unbelief, 7has He again appointed a day, a today (quote unquote), saying through David after a long time; according to as it is before said become:
today if you (PL) will hear his voice,
shall you (PL) not hard make your (PL) hearts.
8because if Yehoshua would them had made rest, would he later not spoken of an other day. 9so around remains still a rest of Sabbath for Hashem's people. 10because the one, who is come in/entered in His rest, has also rested from His work, as Hashem from His.
11let us then self be diligent to enter in that rest, so that anyone shall not fall according to the same example of disobedience. 12because Hashem's word is alive and active and sharp as every two-edged sword and pierces through unto to the separating of soul and spirit, marrow and bone, and judges the thoughts and aims of the hearts. 13and before Him is not there any hidden created thing, but all is obvious and exposed before His eyes, before Whom we will give judge account.
14therefore, having a sublime kohen gadol, who is passed through the heavens, Yehoshua the son of the Most High, let us hold firm our Ani-Ma'amin. 15because we have not any kohen gadol, who can not feel with our weaknesses, but who is in all things on an likewise way put to the test having become, yet without a sin. 16let us then come with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we shall reach mercy and find grace as a help in the right time.
