The Triumphal Entry
1When they drew near to Jerusalem and came to #11:1 Bethsphage ¦ Bethphage BYZ CT TRBethsphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples ahead 2and said to them, “Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied there, on which no one #11:2 has ¦ has ever CThas sat. “Hosanna!

10Blessed is the #11:10 kingdom of our father David that is coming in the name of the Lord ¦ coming kingdom of our father David CTkingdom of our father David that is coming in the name of the Lord!

11Then Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. When he had looked around at everything, he went out to Bethany with the twelve, since the hour was already late.
Jesus Curses the Fig Tree
12On the next day, as they went out from Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13Seeing in the distance a fig tree that had leaves, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14In response Jesus said to the fig tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from yoʋ again.” And his disciples heard it.
Jesus Cleanses the Temple
15Then they #11:15 came ¦ came again ANTcame to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were selling and buying there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who were selling doves, 16and he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple courts. 17Then he began to teach #11:17 the people ¦ --- WHthe people, saying, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a den of robbers.” 18When the #11:18 scribes and the chief priests ¦ scribes, the Pharisees, and the chief priests ANT ¦ chief priests and the scribes CTscribes and the chief priests heard this, they began looking for a way to destroy him, for they were afraid of him, because the entire crowd was astonished at his teaching. 19And when evening came, #11:19 he ¦ they ECM* NA SBL WHhe went out of the city.
The Withered Fig Tree
20In the morning, as they went along, they saw that the fig tree had withered from its roots. 21Then Peter remembered what had happened and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, behold, the fig tree that yoʋ cursed has withered!” 22In response Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God. 23#11:23 For truly ¦ Truly NA SBL TH WHFor truly I say to you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, #11:23 whatever he says 93.2% ¦ it CT 0.3%whatever he says will be granted to him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you #11:24 are receiving 97.7% ¦ have received CT 0.7%are receiving it, and it will be yours. 25And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you your trespasses. 26#11:26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses. ¦ But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. The Authority of Jesus Questioned
27Again they came to Jerusalem, and as Jesus was walking in the temple courts, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came up to him 28and said to him, “By what authority are yoʋ doing these things? #11:28 And ¦ Or ANT CTAnd who gave yoʋ this authority to do them?” 29Jesus #11:29 answered ¦ said to CTanswered them, “I will #11:29 also ¦ --- CTalso ask you one question; answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things: 30Did John's authority to baptize come from heaven or from men? #11:30 Answer me. ¦ --- PCKAnswer me.” 31So they #11:31 considered ¦ discussed CTconsidered it among themselves, saying, “#11:31 If ¦ What should we say?
