How Great Are Your Works, O Yahweh
A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.
1It is good to give thanks to Yahweh
And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
2To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning
And Your faithfulness #92:2 Lit nightsby night,
3 # 92:3 Lit Upon With the ten-stringed lute and with the harp,
# 92:3 Lit Upon With resounding music #92:3 Lit by means ofupon the lyre.
4For You, O Yahweh, have made me glad by #92:4 Lit Your workingwhat You have done,
I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.
5¶How great are Your works, O Yahweh!
Your #92:5 Or purposesthoughts are very deep.
6A senseless man does not know,
And a fool does not understand this:
7That when the wicked flourished like grass
And all the workers of iniquity blossomed,
It was only that they might be destroyed forevermore.
8But You are on high forever, O Yahweh.
9For, behold, Your enemies, O Yahweh,
For, behold, Your enemies will perish;
All the workers of iniquity will be scattered.
10¶But You have raised up my horn like that of the wild ox;
I have #92:10 Or become moistbeen anointed with fresh oil.
11And my eye has looked exultantly upon #92:11 Or those who lie in wait for memy foes,
My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.
12The righteous man will #92:12 Lit sproutflourish like the palm tree,
He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13Planted in the house of Yahweh,
They will flourish in the courts of our God.
14They will still #92:14 Or thrive inyield fruit in old age;
They shall be #92:14 Lit fatrich and fresh,
15To #92:15 Or show forthdeclare that Yahweh is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
