Yahweh Is My Shepherd
A Psalm of David.
1Yahweh is my shepherd,
I #23:1 Or doshall not want.
2He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside #23:2 Lit waters of restquiet waters.
3He restores my soul;
He guides me in the #23:3 Lit trackspaths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4¶Even though I walk through the #23:4 Or valley of deep darknessvalley of the shadow of death,
I fear no #23:4 Or harmevil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You #23:5 Or anointhave anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6 # 23:6 Or Only Surely goodness and lovingkindness will #23:6 Or followpursue me all the days of my life,
And I will #23:6 Or return todwell in the house of Yahweh #23:6 Lit for length of daysforever.
