Metsi a tswang lefikeng
(Dipa. 20:1-13)
1Setjhaba sohle sa bana ba Iseraele sa tsamaya ho tloha lehwatateng la Sine; sa nna sa tsamaya, ho ya ka taelo ya Morena, ho fihlela se hloma Refidime. Setjhaba sa hloka metsi ao se a nwang. 2Yaba setjhaba se ipelaetsa ho Moshe, se re: “Re fe metsi, re nwe!”
Moshe a re ho sona: “Ke hobaneng ha le ipelaetsa? Le lekelang Morena?”
3Setjhaba sa nyorelwa metsi haholo, mme sa nna sa korotlela Moshe, sa re: “Ke hobaneng ha o re ntshitse Egepeta, ho tla re bolaya ka lenyora, rona le bana ba rona, le diphoofolo tsa rona?”
4Moshe a ipiletsa ho Morena, a re: “Setjhaba see ke tla se etsa jwang? Ho se ho se hokae se ntlepetsa ka majwe!”
5Yaba Morena o re ho Moshe: “Nka ba bang ba baholo ba setjhaba sa Iseraele, o ye kapele ho sona; ka letsohong la hao o nke molamu wa hao, oo o neng o otle metsi a noka ka wona, o tsamaye. 6Bona, ke tla ema pela hao mane lefikeng la Horebe. O tle o otle lefika leo. Metsi a tla tswa ho lona, mme setjhaba se tla nwa.” Moshe a etsa jwalo moo baholo ba setjhaba sa Iseraele ba ntseng ba bona. 7Sebaka seo sa rewa lebitso la Masa le Meriba , ka baka la ho ipelaetsa ha bana ba Iseraele, le ka baka la hobane ba ne ba leka Morena, ha ba re: “Na Morena o teng hara rona, kapa tjhe?”
Ntwa le Baamaleke
8Baamaleke ba fihla, ba lwantsha bana ba Iseraele mane Refidime. 9Moshe a re ho Joshua: “Re kgethele banna, o tsamaye, o yo lwantsha Baamaleke. Hosasane nna ke tla ema hodima tlhoro ya leralla, ke tshwere molamu wa Modimo ka letsohong la ka.”
10Joshua a etsa jwalokaha Moshe a mo laetse, a ya lwantsha Baamaleke; Moshe, le Arone, le Hure ba hlwella hodima tlhoro ya leralla. 11Ha Moshe a ntse a phahamisitse matsoho a hae, Baiseraele ba ne ba hlola, empa ha a phomotsa matsoho a hae, Baamaleke ba ne ba hlola. 12Jwale matsoho a Moshe a kgathala. Ba nka lejwe, ba le bea katlasa Moshe, mme a dula hodima lona. Arone le Hure ba tshehetsa matsoho a hae, e mong ka lehlakoreng lena, e mong ka ho lane; jwale matsoho a hae a tiya ho fihlela letsatsi le dikela. 13Joshua a hlola Baamaleke, a ba bolaya ka sabole.
14Yaba Morena o re ho Moshe: “Ngola ditaba tsena bukeng, e tle e be kgopotso. O be o phetele Joshua hore ke tla fedisa Baamaleke lefatsheng, hoo ba ke keng ba hlola ba hopolwa le kgale.”
15Moshe a haha aletare, a e rea lebitso la “Morena ke mokgele wa ka”; 16yaba o re: “Phahamisang mokgele wa Morena. Morena o tla nne a lwantshe Baamaleke kamehla yohle.”
