The 144,000 of Israel Sealed
1Then I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, # Da 7:2; Mt 24:31 that the wind would not blow on the earth or on the sea or on any tree. 2And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. He cried out with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the earth and the sea, 3saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, # Rev 6:6 until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” # Eze 9:4–6; Rev 14:1; 22:4 4Then I heard the number of those who were sealed, one hundred and forty-four thousand out of every tribe of the Israelites: # Rev 14:1, 3–5

The Multitude from Every Nation
9Then I looked. And behold, there was a great multitude which no one could count, from all nations and tribes and peoples and tongues, # Rev 5:9 standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands. # Lev 23:40; Jn 12:13 10They cried out with a loud voice:
“Salvation belongs to our God # Ps 3:8; Rev 19:1
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb!”
11All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures # Rev 4:6 and fell on their faces before the throne and worshipped God, # Rev 4:10 12saying:
“Amen!
Blessing and glory
and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor
and power and might
be to our God forever and ever!
Amen.” # Rev 5:12–14; 19:4
13Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are these clothed in white robes, # Rev 7:9 and where did they come from?”
14I said to him, “Sir, you know.”
He said to me, “These are those who came out of great persecution and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. # Zec 3:3–5; 1Jn 1:7 15Therefore,
they are before the throne of God,
and serve Him day and night in His temple. # Rev 22:3
And He who sits on the throne
will dwell among them. # Isa 4:5–6

nor shall they thirst any more;
the sun shall not strike them,’ # Ps 121:6; Isa 49:10 # 7:16 Isa 49:10.
nor any scorching heat;
17for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne
will shepherd them # Jn 10:11

‘And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.’ # Isa 25:8 # 7:17 Isa 25:8. ”
