Revelation 19

19
1After these things # Rev 1:19; 4:1 I heard a great sound of many people in heaven, # Rev 11:15 shouting:
“Alleluia!
Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God! # Rev 19:6
2For true and righteous are His judgments,
because He has judged the great prostitute
who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality;
and He has avenged on her the blood of His servants.” # Dt 32:43; Rev 6:10
3Again they said:
“Alleluia!
Her smoke rises forever and ever.” # Isa 34:10; Rev 14:11
4The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshipped God who sat on the throne, saying:
“Amen! Alleluia!” # Ps 106:48; Rev 5:14
The Marriage Supper of the Lamb
5Then a voice came from the throne, saying:
“Praise our God,
all you His servants # Ps 134:1; 135:1
and those who fear Him,
both small and great!”
6Then I heard something like the sound like a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, # Rev 14:2 saying:
“Alleluia!
For the Lord God Almighty reigns! # Ps 97:1
7Let us be glad and rejoice
and give Him glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
and His wife has made herself ready. # Mt 22:2; 25:1–10; Eph 5:32
8It was granted her to be arrayed in fine linen,
clean and white.” # Ps 45:13–14
Fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. # Ps 132:9
9Then he said to me, “Write: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true sayings of God.” # Rev 21:5; 22:6
10I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you not do that. I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! # Rev 22:8–9 For it is the spirit of prophecy that bears witness to Jesus.” # Rev 12:17
The Rider on the White Horse
11I saw heaven opened. And behold, there was a white horse. # Rev 6:2 He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, # Rev 3:14 and in righteousness He judges and wages war. 12His eyes are like a flame of fire, # Rev 1:14 and on His head are many crowns. He has a name written, that no one knows but He Himself. 13He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood. # Isa 63:2–3 His name is called The Word of God. # Jn 1:1 14The armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, # Rev 7:9; 19:8 followed Him on white horses. 15Out of His mouth proceeds a sharp sword, with which He may strike the nations. # Isa 11:4; 2Th 2:8 “He shall rule them with an iron scepter.” # Ps 2:9 # 19:15 Ps 2:9. He treads the winepress of the fury and wrath of God the Almighty. # Rev 14:20 16On His robe and on His thigh He has a name written:
king of kings
and lord of lords. # Rev 17:14
17And I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice to all the birds flying in the midst of heaven, “Come and gather for the supper of the great God, # Jer 12:9; Mt 24:27–28; Rev 19:21 18to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of commanders, the flesh of strong men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, # Eze 39:18–20; Rev 6:15 both free and slave, both small and great!”
19Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to wage war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army. # Rev 16:14, 16 20But the beast was captured and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshipped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with brimstone. # Rev 14:10; 20:10; 21:8 21The remnant were slain with the sword which proceeded out of the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds gorged themselves with their flesh.
