47
For the Music Director. A Psalm of the sons of Korah.
1Clap your hands, all you people!
Shout to God with a voice of triumph. # Ps 98:4; Isa 55:12
2For the Lord Most High is awesome; # Dt 7:21
He is a great King over all the earth. # Mal 1:14
3He subdued peoples under us, # Ps 18:47
and nations under our feet.
4He chose our heritage for us, # 1Pe 1:4
the excellency of Jacob whom He loves. # Am 6:8 Selah
5God has gone up with a shout, # Ps 68:33
the Lord with the sound of a trumpet. # 2Sa 6:15
6Sing praises to God, sing praises;
sing praises to our King, sing praises.
7For God is the King of all the earth; # Zec 14:9
sing praises with understanding. # Col 3:16
8God reigns over the nations; # 1Ch 16:31
God sits on His holy throne.
9The princes of the peoples have assembled
as the people of the God of Abraham.
For the shields of the earth belong to God; # Ps 89:18
He is greatly exalted.
