but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. For it is written: “Rejoice, O barren, You who do not bear! Break forth and shout, You who are not in labor! For the desolate has many more children Than she who has a husband.” Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now. Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

Are you caught up in doing good deeds, but missing the gospel of faith? Are you feeling discouraged by faith based in works? Paul addresses this exact issue in Galatians and explores the foundational truth of the freedom of faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians offers a celebration of the freedom of grace and re-centers your focus on the law of love in God in three parts: the gospel of grace defined, the gospel of grace examined and the gospel of grace applied.
Waiting is a fundamental part of the human journey, marked by tension between hope and uncertainty. In this devotional, we will walk alongside Abraham, a man who walked through his own long season of waiting to see God’s promises fulfilled. Through his story, we’ll discover what to expect and how to grow as we navigate our own seasons of waiting on God’s promises. And ultimately, we'll see how Jesus himself—the true offspring of Abraham—brings deeper meaning to our waiting, standing as the final fulfillment of God's promises to all who follow in Abraham’s footsteps of faith.
