Numbers 11:32-34

Exodus narrated the story of God liberating Israelites from their Egyptian slavery and Moses, a great man of faith. His deep relationship with God reflected in his prayers. He consulted God on every decision he made. He also prayed a lot for others. Have you ever wondered if the dreams that you have for your life mirror God's desires for your life? How do you know? Over the next seven days we will walk together to submit our dreams and cravings to God and listen for His response. As we walk through Numbers 11 we will hear the Israelites' desires, cravings, and wishes and listen for God’s answers, provision and dreams for His children then and for us now.

The Bible begins with, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty.” But clearly, that was not a problem for God. He merely spoke and the emptiness was filled with life, beauty, and purpose. This gives us hope that God will do his best work in the emptiness of our own lives. Let’s pray and ask him to fill up our emptiness.

What makes a good leader? God cares about character, not skill sets. When God was picking someone to lead His people, He had to remind them, ".. man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). Who you are is more important than what you do. In this study, you'll learn that leading your group well starts by preparing your heart.
