And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Most of the time, we desperately try to cover our weaknesses with good works, success, and sometimes even faking our Christian walk. We might deceive ourselves and also others, but we cannot hide anything from God. Find truth and love pursuing the Light! Maturity, growth, and satisfaction will follow.
