Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

I would like to share a thought with you that is fundamental to our lives. It’s from Psalm 1: “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.” This verse teaches us about the Christian life, about what it shouldn’t be. But what should it be?
Something’s wrong. When should you speak up? When should you hold your tongue? These biblical reflections help you decide whether it’s the right time to use your voice at work.
Vance K. Jackson leads readers in this wisdom-filled devotional. When you surrender to Christ and follow His Way of doing things — He will lead and guide your path. When you surrender your heart and ways to God, choose to let the old things go. Choose to let the old man die. Let Christ do a new work within the borders of your heart as you read this life-transforming message.
Have you ever felt alone and persecuted? Perhaps had a hidden secret exposed to the light of day? The theme for these guided meditations is disclosure. To find freedom and the mercy of God through the companionship of others. To not live life alone, but celebrate the freedom found in Christ and seeing others as Christ sees you. Finding companionship by showing mercy to the least of those around us.
