2 Samuel 21:13

In the midst of hurts, challenges of subservient status, insecurities and longing for love and acceptance, the Women of the Bible reveal the current quandaries of today’s women.  Separated by ages past, their emotions were real and their ordeals just as relevant now.  As in the author’s life, let the Women of the Bible bring you to a place of healing, encouragement, self-examination and affirmation of God’s love for you

Sometimes we are familiar with the well-known Biblical characters such as Abraham, Moses and Mary - and they have some fantastic lessons to teach us - but what about the often overlooked characters, if you mention their name, people say ‘Who?’ What might they have to show us?

2 Samuel depicts the ascension and reign of King David following the death of Saul and Jonathan. David united the kingdom, established Jerusalem as the capital city, and extended the territory of Israel. At the crescendo of the book, God promises David that "your throne shall be established forever" (2 Samuel 7:16). Despite David's wickedness, God ultimately fulfills his promises to David through the person and work of Jesus Christ.

The Bible's famous stories get the spotlight, but tucked between them are overlooked people and strange, small moments where God was just as present. Over 21 days you will meet a midwife, a servant girl, a talking donkey, a floating axe head, and the two strangers who walked with the risen Jesus, and discover a God who writes no one off as a minor character.
