God has graciously provided us with His living word so that we can be equipped to live the life He wants us to live. Life, with its challenges and setbacks, can often drain our energy, distress our souls, and break our spirits. Thus, we all need an anchor, a hope that we can cling to in times of adversity.
The scriptures do you no good if they simply enjoy an esteemed position on your bookshelves or a privileged position next to your pillow. It needs to be studied, meditated upon, and become a part of your daily life for you to reap its rewards. As you wholeheartedly and prayerfully dwell on God’s word, the God of endurance and encouragement will fill your life with hope that will strengthen you to face the day’s challenges.
