Dealing with Frustrations.
By Rev. Roger E. Woller
We all have been frustrated at one time or another. When our day has not gone the way we planned, we become frustrated with ourselves or the people around us.
Is there anything we can do when we feel so frustrated that we want to just give up?
Let’s start by admitting that we’ve all had these feelings.
Our verse is from the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes. Solomon tells us our frustrations are caused by the meaninglessness of life. We should be content with whatever God has given us.
Our loving God provides the wisdom of salvation and the knowledge that heaven is our home. We are joyful knowing we are forgiven sinners because Jesus paid for our sins and frustrations.
As we continue to live and grow, we are blessed to know our eternal life in heaven is real. God’s Word and promises will never change. God and His love for us is real.
When we realize our loving Father in heaven is in control, we can easily get over our frustrations. We are children of our heavenly Father, and He knows what we are going through.
When we feel frustrated, we can go to our heavenly Father in prayer. In 1 Peter 5:7, Peter encourages us: “Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
Prayer: Dear Father in Heaven, when I feel frustrated, help me to remember that you are there for me. You sent your only son Jesus to live a life in my place; what more could I ask for. Help me remember this. Amen.
