13 Reasons To Keep GoingУзор
GOD IS WITH YOU IN EXILE
One is the loneliest number that you’ll ever do

-Three Dog Night, One
Have you ever felt like you were alone? Have you been excommunicated, jettisoned, abandoned, shipwrecked, rejected, exiled?
John felt like that. Because of his faith in Christ, he was banished to an island in the Aegean Sea. And while no one is certain, some scholars believe that he died on the island of Patmos.
Here’s the amazing thing – the God-thing – about John and his exile: God came to him on that island and gave him a series of visions that he diligently recorded and are now known as Revelation – the final book of our Bible.
Revelation is a prophetic book in which Jesus Himself reveals to His Church things that will happen before He returns and also encourages us to remain faithful and not grow tired of waiting for Him.
God used a man who was stranded on a little island to share some of the most important information in the entire Bible. If He can do that, He can use you – no matter where you are or how isolated you feel.
We live in a warzone. Evil is real and the chief instigator, the devil, seeks to separate you, make you feel alone, make you question God and His faithfulness, make you want to give up.
Just as the devil can and will attack your mind when you’re alone and isolated, God can and will come to your defense.
If you’ve been treated poorly, discriminated against and rejected, or if you feel alone, call on God. He knows your situation, knows how you feel, and will come to you on that island.
PRAYER: God, it’s so unfair. No one seems to care or understand. I feel so alone. Please come and surround me with Your love. I need You to be with me here.

The Netflix Original Series 13 Reasons Why follows the events leading up to and following a teenager's suicide. It focuses on a subject of great concern to our culture, but does so in a way that offers little hope for those dealing with depression or suicidal thoughts. This reading plan shares the encouragement God has provided in His Word for those struggling to find reasons to keep going.
