Courtney Blakely

READY:

And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit Ephesians 1:13

SET:

What’s in a name? People do crazy things to get the autograph of a professional athlete. Some wait in long lines, others pay lots of money to gain special access and yet others go to even greater extremes, even risking their own life, to gain the signature of greatness. One does this because they know the marking of the person’s name will add value to the item that is autographed. As believers, our signature desire should be that of Christ Jesus, for He is the Ultimate Name of Greatness. The Name above all Names!

Yet, Christ in His great mercy, waited on our behalf, paid the ultimate price and risked his own life so that we could gain this great marking! The work to achieve the ultimate autograph has already been done. We must simply open our hearts to gain the value of His signature on our lives.

Not only has value been added to our lives because of this marking, but we are so special to the One who created us, Scripture says that He too has our names engraved upon His hand. Wow!

GO:

  1. What crazy thing would you do to obtain the signature of your favorite athlete?
  2. What is your autograph of greatest value?
  3. Have you opened your heart to Jesus, trusting His autograph upon your life?

WORKOUT:

Isaiah 49:16
Psalm 139:13-14
Isaiah 43:1

OVERTIME:

Thank you, Jesus, for the extreme measure you went to on the Cross that I may forever have your signature and seal upon my life. Amen.
