The genealogy of Jesus demonstrates how God’s promises are fulfilled, regardless of how long it takes. When God made His covenant with Abraham, it took many generations before the promise came true. Jesus descended through a long line of people, from Abraham to David and finally to Mary.

Reflect on the number of flawed people in Jesus’ lineage. Yet, despite that human fragility, God was faithful. He promised a savior, and He delivered one. If God has made you a promise, stay faithful even if that promise hasn’t come true. Trust in His timing and be confident that He works all things together for His purpose in your life.
