EquipHer Vol. 3: "Intentionally Crafting Connections"ናሙና
Day 5: Growing in an Environment That Nurtures Your Faith
Just as a plant cannot thrive in poor soil, we cannot flourish in relationships that don’t nurture our faith or growth. In Psalm 1:3, we are compared to a tree planted by streams of water, yielding fruit in season. The environment we create through our relationships directly impacts our ability to grow and bear fruit.
In Paul and Timothy’s relationship (2 Timothy 1:5-7), we see how Paul’s role as a mentor can foster an environment of empowerment and growth.Paul’s encouragement helped Timothy grow into a strong leader in the early church. Similarly, our relationships should encourage us to grow spiritually and professionally, creating a network of support that aligns with our God-given purpose.
Evaluate your current environment. Are you surrounded by people who encourage your faith, challenge you to grow, and support your long-term vision? If not, it may be time to make some intentional changes.
Remember that relationships are a key part of your growth, both spiritually and professionally. With intentionality, wisdom, and God's guidance, you can craft connections that not only support your goals but also reflect your faith and calling. Be prayerful and purposeful as you continue to build a network that empowers you to thrive.
Practical Exercise: Identify one relationship or environment that is not conducive to your growth. Pray for guidance on how to address or change it.
Prayer: Lord, plant me in relationships and environments that nurture my soul, strengthen my faith, and support my growth. Help me to be intentional about the company I keep and to always seek Your wisdom in cultivating connections. Amen.
