The Word of God Is Aliveናሙና
Have you ever had an important test at school, a big game for your sport or maybe a huge musical performance? Of course, we all have, but have you ever studied or practiced so hard and you still don’t feel you have what it takes to perform well? It’s like you walk into the classroom, onto the field or onto the stage and suddenly you can’t even remember your name. It’s like you don’t feel equipped to do the task at hand.
Sometimes living a Christ like life can feel like this. Being a follower of Jesus means being obedient to God’s will. Sometimes God calls us to do hard things that we don’t understand. It feels like we aren’t equipped to do the things he’s calling us to. But good for us we serve a God who knew we would feel like this so he gave us the Bible to guide us. 2 Timothy 3 discusses the struggles as a Christian but reassures us that we don’t have to feel unequipped. Because the Bible is God breathed we can rely on it to equip us for what God calls us to. If we knew how to do it all then we wouldn’t need God. He calls us to do things that we think we can’t do because he wants us to lean on him and have faith in him to equip us. God doesn’t call the equipped, he equips the called.
Question: What is the one thing God has been asking you to do but you’ve been holding off because you are scared or feel unequipped?
