Names of God for the Worship Leaderናሙና

The God who sees.
We often recognize God as an all knowing God. But sometimes it can be easy to forget that God is also the God who sees us. He sees every part of us, in every part of our lives.
In Genesis 16, Hagar is struggling with an issue she is facing. Hagar and Sarah become at odds with each other after Sarah instructs Abraham to get Hagar pregnant so they can have a child. Hagar finds herself running away from the issue. She escapes to the wilderness and the angel of the Lord tells her to return to Abraham and Sarah and to submit to Sarah.
But when the angel of the Lord meets Hagar in the wilderness, Hagar feels seen in her circumstance. Hagar is a slave who is now pregnant. She didn't choose to be pregnant. She didn't choose to be a slave. But this is the circumstance she finds herself in. And when she tries to run away, God finds her and he sees her.
God sees you right where you are in this very moment. And you can assure the congregations you lead that God sees them as well.
