The Power of God Revealed

Ready for another example of Dunamis? In John 9:1-41, we see another amazing demonstration of the Power of God! Jesus meets a man who was born blind from birth and heals him with the use of mud and spit. Wild, right?

GO DEEP

Imagine the moment this man sees for the first time. Blind at birth means he had no idea what anything looked like. He couldn’t picture the color of the sea or appreciate the beauty of the flowers. Then, BAM! The Power of God floods the vibrant lights, colors, and images through his eyes and into his reality! Jesus, the Light of the world, heals this man and by doing so, brings Light into darkness.

After being healed, the man BOLDLY testifies to the miracle, even though many were against him. He keeps it simple, though, doesn’t he? "I was blind but now I see." He doesn’t have to explain or convince anyone else of the Power of God. His life serves as a powerful testament to Jesus' Transformative Power. Our personal experiences with God can be a powerful witness to others.

BE BOLD

Consider where you might be experiencing spiritual blindness. Trust that God can use your story to help others and to lead others to Him. Embrace Jesus as your Light, guiding you through darkness. Do you know someone who needs to hear this story? Write down the name of one person who needs to know Jesus, the Light of the world. Ask your small group to join you in praying for that person this week.
