The Risen Christ - Day 4

The disciples knew what Jesus looked like, the sound of his voice, and his mannerisms, but they didn’t know it was he who walked and talked with them. It wasn’t until he broke the bread that they suddenly recognized him—and the burning in their hearts as he taught, a new sense of hope.

Don’t we do the same? We focus on the obstacles we want to hurdle, the people who hurt us, where we want to be but can’t seem to get, and we don’t recognize the almighty God walking right along with us. With our narrow focus on the problems, we miss God’s activity in our lives.
