DAY 11 OF 12

Your Name

The potency of Christ’s resurrection isn’t limited to salvation but promises us that in Him, the power of death has been permanently erased.

To further add insult to injury, all those who put their faith in the finished work of Jesus also enlist in the worldwide fraternity of the free. This army of blood-bought saints has been seated in heavenly places along with Jesus at the right hand of the Father.

This army, redeemed and regenerated, serves the mandate of the Lord to go into the world and tell more people about Jesus, Who made all of this possible through the power of the highest Name in all the universe and beyond – the Name of Jesus.

By this Name, this army heals the sick, brings freedom to the demonized, and raises the dead as a continuation of the revelation of the everlasting Kingdom of God.

If you are part of this army of blood-bought saints, then you are also given the task of proclaiming the Gospel to all the world. You have been made a witness of Jesus through the Holy Spirit, who dwells in you and who empowers you. God has placed His Name in you. You are called to represent Him wherever you go.

The best place to start with witnessing the Gospel is our immediate context – the people closest to you. Who in your family, friendship circle, or workplace does not yet know Jesus? Take some time to pray for them. Ask God to reveal His grace to them and to use you as a witness to them. Also, ask Him to give you wisdom on how you can start conversations with them about Jesus. Then, make it a priority to be a witness to them every time you see them. We do not have to force anything on them. We can simply show them the love of Jesus and then, at an opportune time, tell them about the Gospel that saves.

About this Plan

Welcome Home

ShofarBand is a South African worship and songwriting collective. In January 2024, we released our live album, Welcome Home. This plan is based on those songs, telling the story of a God who is both transcendent and intimate, both high above and near to us. May this plan and these songs enlarge our view of the love and holiness of God, creating space for encounters with His Holy Spirit.
