From Death to Life

DAY 3 OF 3

DAY 3: Easter Sunday

AnDrew Edwards, Campus Pastor, Elevation Concord

One morning over 2,000 years ago, in what seemed like the darkest circumstances, an extraordinarily powerful event unfolded. After enduring torture and a brutal, public execution, the stillness within a borrowed tomb was shattered by the unmistakable sound of breath. That very breath symbolized resurrection life, marking a profound transformation. Jesus, the Savior of humanity, emerged triumphant over death.

As we reflect on the resurrection of Jesus' life, it is natural not only to be awestruck by the miracle but also to recognize what it means for us. Paul's epistle to the Romans sheds some light on this:

"And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you." (Romans 8:11)

You might be wondering, "What does that mean for us?!"

Surrendering our lives to Jesus grants us access to the same power that raised Him from the grave. This access enables us to invite the Holy Spirit into the bleakest of situations, filling our brokenness with His resurrection power.

As followers of Jesus, our pain, fear, grief, and anxiety are no longer ours to carry. He desires to equip us with the tools of community and connection to help us walk through the darkest seasons with His resurrection power. If He sent His Spirit into a seemingly hopeless situation over 2,000 years ago, rest assured, He will do it for you again.

Reflection

  • What area of your life do you need to invite the Holy Spirit into?
  • God created us for connection and community. Attend church to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, and bring a friend!
Day 2

About this Plan

From Death to Life

Easter celebrates the faithfulness of God. He always comes through. Jesus’ death and resurrection remind us that even when life is difficult and the outlook is bleak, God is still working —and His plan is better than you can imagine.
