10 Prayers for Financial Blessingናሙና
Prayer 3: The Blessing of the Lord Makes Rich
Some people believe that having no money is a sign of piety. However, the Word of God is clear in saying that the blessing of God, which He bestows upon those who love and obey Him, actually makes us rich.
Yes, the Bible says that money is a blessing!
Of course, we should not love money. Money is only a tool, and it doesn't belong to us anyway; it belongs to God. We are simply stewards and managers of the things the Lord entrusts to us on this earth.
However, God DOES give us money to manage, and having money is a blessing.
In fact , as long as your heart is right, the Bible actually says it is "virtuous" to be an entrepreneur, take care of your employees, invest money for a profit, and provide well for your household. (All of Proverbs 31 is an example of this; look especially at Proverbs 31:16.)
Furthermore, when Jesus told the parable of the talents, He said that the Lord gave the biggest reward to the most faithful steward who made the most money for the Master!
Of course, money is not the only sign of blessing in your life. However, we should all get to a place where we believe it when God says in His Word that He wants to increase us financially.
If you need the Lord to help you believe His Word about this level of blessing, pray this:
"Father, in Jesus' name, I ask today that You would increase my faith for what Your Word says about financial blessing. Help me do whatever I need to do in order to stand firm in faith for everything Your Word says I should have—including money and every other kind of wealth.
I want everything You want me to have, Lord, even if I don't have the faith for it yet. I don't want a drop of Jesus' blood to go to waste in my life. I desire to receive everything You have provided for me!
Lord, I believe. Help me in my unbelief!
As you answer, Lord, please keep my heart right. Help me to remember that it is You who gives me the power to get wealth, and so You confirm Your covenant which You swore to my fathers. Help me to manage everything You have entrusted me to manage, and let my eyes and heart only be set upon You.
Thank You, Father God. In Jesus name I pray, amen."
