Manifesting the Word of GodSample

Manifesting the Word of God

DAY 25 OF 31

DON’T BE TAKEN BY THE WORDS FROM YOUR MOUTH

You can be trapped by your words. In 1 Kings 20, the Israelites fought the king of Syria, Benhadad, and God wanted him to be defeated and killed. However, Benhadad’s servants said, “...let us, I pray thee, put sackcloth on our loins, and ropes upon our heads, and go out to the king of Israel: peradventure he will save thy life.” Some forces in the spirit are diligently observing your mouth to see anything that comes out of it. See verse 33 of 1 Kings 20.

Beloved of God, those things that you say in the heat of passion of joy or anger carry greater weight and speed for manifestation. Look at what happened next in verse 34b, “... Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So, he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.” God responded in 1 Kings 20:42, “And he said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Because thou hast let go out of thy hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore thy life shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.”

He made that exchange when he said, “He’s my brother” (1 Kin. 20:32). You can now link this with Proverbs 6:2, “You are snared by the words of your mouth.”Ahab had defeated Benhadad, but now he died for him. You see people in love with each other say, “My dear, oh…I love you; we will die together!” Is it written anywhere that you must die together? Then people will say the world is wicked when the husband and wife die together in an accident. No, the world is not wicked; their mouths killed them.

PRAYER: Father, I humble myself before Your Word today. I will no longer be careless with my words. I free myself from every snare and battle due to wrong or careless use of my words in Jesus’ name. Amen!

About this Plan

Manifesting the Word of God

If you don’t like what you are seeing, change what you are saying. The kingdom of God is a voice activated kingdom; your confession and your words have creative power in them, because the power of God is in His Word and not in His mouth. You have to speak that Word over your life to manifest them. In this devotional, you will learn how to effectively manifest God’s Word.
