Got Change?ናሙና
A LIFESTYLE OF GRATITUDE
In the midst of our busy daily routine, we often forget how blessed we are. It is a known fact that if you have food on your table, clothes to wear, a roof over your head, clean drinking water, electricity, and someone you can call family, you are richer than 70% of the world! But gratefulness is not just about being thankful for what we have, for we are asked to give thanks to the Lord in all circumstances (1 Thess. 5:18). There might be many things bothering us today, but we will never lack reasons to be thankful. Gratefulness is an expression of humility. When we are grateful to God or man, we take the focus off ourselves.
Take a look at this verse: "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever (Ps. 136:1)." The primary reason for us being thankful to God today is His goodness, out of which flows His steadfast love. Oh, the countless times He saved and delivered us when we prayed! (Ps 40:9). ‘And never to forget, that every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly lights’. Many a time we tend to focus on what we don’t have, or look around for what is wrong. Complaining and fault-finding aren’t signs of a grateful man.
Gratefulness doesn't stop with just giving thanks but begins to give/act in turn. We show our gratefulness to God by walking in obedience to Him and trust Him in light of His past faithfulness. It is gratefulness for Calvary that burned the hearts of missionaries to cross land and sea to preach the gospel, even in life-threatening circumstances. It is gratefulness for the nameless missionaries who established churches, gave the Bible in our native languages, which inspires us to be faithful to the call of the Great Commission.
We show gratefulness for the good education we have by helping to educate an orphan. We show gratefulness to our pastors and leaders by praying for them, thanking them and giving financially to those who serve us. We show gratefulness to our parents by thanking them, honoring them, serving them, caring and providing for them in their old age. The list goes on. Choose to be grateful today!
The CHALLENGE to Change:
Take time to see some good in everything that happens to you today, and be grateful to God. Testify of His goodness to someone and also amongst His people.

We keep talking about change, how much this world needs it. True change is not brought about by the formation of new laws, rather by the transformation of each one’s life. You will find in this Plan a reminder for each day of an area we need to change in and grow, prompting us into Christ likeness and becoming the change this world needs to see and emulate. So…..Got Change?
