Essential Spiritual Practicesናሙና
Godly Community
We’ve talked about a lot of different spiritual practices over the last week. Maybe you’ve tried something new or have a fresh perspective on something you’re already doing. Either way, make sure you aren’t doing this alone.
There’s power when believers come together and talk about the work God is doing in their lives. You find encouragement when you’re struggling, excitement when you receive good news, and shoulders to cry on when life doesn’t go the way you planned.
In the Bible, we can find great stories from people coming together in community.
The Israelites were in the wilderness together after they left Egypt.
Jesus brought together His 12 disciples as He started His ministry.
The early church regularly gathered together in the temple and in homes.
When we join others, we set the example that life is better together. God doesn’t want anyone to be alone, so our example encourages others to find their people.
Like the early church, we can share our resources, worship and grow closer to God together, and model the joy of unity.
Relationships with others helps us see how God is moving in a larger picture beyond our own lives.
Challenge: What does your community look like? How can you intentionally invest in the people around you this week?
