DAY 3 OF 30

Love is such a powerful thing. But for something so powerful, we tend to throw it around quite easily. We say that we love a certain book, song, or maybe even a specific type of music. We can easily say that we love our pets, that we love our family members, and that we love our spouse or significant other. But as Christians, we’re called to a love that’s so much more powerful than that. We’re called to love one another as Christ loved us. This is a big undertaking! Jesus gave up His place in heaven, came down to Earth, and willingly became a sacrifice in order to save mankind. That’s a pretty powerful kind of love! It’s an unselfish and giving kind of love. It's a love that looks past faults to see the heart of people. It’s a love that doesn’t ebb and flow because of words said or offenses given. It’s a love that stays constant and unconditional. So, how can we love like this? In reality, we can’t really do it on our own. It is only with God that we are able to show this kind of love to one another.

Today, spend some time in prayer asking God to show you opportunities where you can show love to another person. And most importantly, get ready for the answer. Be willing to put that kind of love into practice each and every day!

About this Plan

Influencers

An influencer has the ability to change our minds or make us try something new. And while we may think of an influencer as someone with millions of followers, the reality is we don’t need a big audience to be an influencer. In fact, God calls each one of us to be an influencer for good. In this devotional, we’ll see all the ways God has used people—even the unexpected people—to have an amazing influence on others.
