Precious Moments That Count For Eternityናሙና
His Resurrection is Not History!
The tomb of Christ is captivating, not because of what it contains, but because of what it does not! It’s an empty tomb. That’s what we celebrate. Everything about Jesus is spectacular—His birth, His life, His death on the cross, and my favorite, His resurrection.
That’s why, of all the joyous occasions Christians celebrate, I thought Resurrection Sunday was most worthy of being celebrated. But with time I’ve realized that isn’t true. Jesus’ resurrection is not something we must remember once a year, but something we must celebrate every single day. His resurrection gave us power for every day!
Resurrection is not history. It is not a thing of the past. It is for the present and the future too. And we must live, experience and celebrate it now!
Romans 8:11 (NIV) says, And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. There are two parts to this verse: a present and a future. The present is that the same power that conquered the grave lives in you right now, every minute of every day. And, the future is that everything in you will be raised to life because of that power.
No matter what dead situation or dead dream you are dealing with, know this; it is not meant to lie there in the grave. It has to be raised to life. If Jesus conquered death, you can too. The same power that left the tomb empty lives in you now!
Let the resurrection power of Jesus not just be something we speak of within the four walls of the church, but let it touch the lives of all we meet and forever be the truth of our lives.
Declaration
Jesus is risen! Jesus is risen! I am a carrier of the resurrection power of Jesus, touching the lives of people around me and bringing dead situations and dreams to life.

We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
