Revival - Finding God in a Busy Worldናሙና
Reviving Worship
David is a popular person in the bible and known for his very unique relationship with God. If there was ever a debate as to who would be the best-rated worshipper, David would surely take the lead by a long mile. He knew how to set his humanity aside to honour God even when he found himself in dire situations/straits.
No wonder God calls him a man after His heart.
Revival sparks continuous God-centred worship. It influences our lifestyle even outside of our comfort zone.
Running for his life and trying to survive out in the cold on two occasions, once from Saul and the second from Absalom, his son. David would continuously revere and place a high value and extravagant recognition on God. It defined who he was and how he lived his life.
When life threw curveballs at him, he remembered God’s goodness in the past and acknowledged His forever-enduring mercies. This repeatedly triggered his reviving worship lifestyle.
It is easy to drown out the noise around us when we choose to adopt worship as a lifestyle. It rejuvenates our spirit to bask in awe of who God is.
Personally, when I am confused and sometimes overwhelmed with the pressures of life, I find that choosing to remember my history with God strengthens me. I choose to remember how God saved me from a possible car accident and the many ways He has proven to be a faithful God.
One of the buffers for staying revived in a busy world like ours is to actively cultivate a life of private worship. Start now, for He is good, for his mercy endures forever.

What about Revival? Have you tried going the whole day without drinking water, especially during a hot sunny day when you had to be outdoors for hours? I bet at some point, you became so parched that all you could think of was getting your hands on a glass of ice-cold water. The relief is almost magical because you suddenly feel refreshed and alive. This is what revival is, and that is why it is an important part of our lives.
