Love What Matters ናሙና
"Love Does Not Boast"
We see the term “boast” numerous times throughout the Bible, but not always with a negative connotation. Many times the phrase “boast in the Lord” is stated. Even in 1 Corinthians Paul quotes from Jeremiah stating that anyone who boasts should boast in the Lord. When you think of all the Lord has done, created, become, and will become, boasting in Him is a logical concept; but when you think about the definition of boasting as the dictionary does, “to puff oneself up in speech; self-satisfaction, a trait of pride,” one would become confused on the translation.
Question & Answer: What does boast mean to you? How does it relate to pride? Is there a healthy way to enact these terms?
I challenge you to praise others for their accomplishments. Build people up!
