Beautifully Surrendered: God's Heart for His Daughters

DAY 3 OF 14

Read: Galatians 3:24–29

SOAP: Galatians 3:28

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female—for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.

Into the text

There is absolutely nothing we can do to earn salvation in our power or by our works. It is a gift from God, given freely to those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord. It is not exclusive to the powerful, wealthy, educated, or elite. The life-changing power of the gospel is available to all. Once a person accepts Christ as their Savior, they become a child of God. The gospel is full of good news and the power to break down walls.

For many Jewish believers in the early church, the law of the Old Testament was all they knew. Before Christ, salvation was available to Gentiles if they became Jews by believing in God and following the law. The law provided the guidelines for faith until God established a new covenant, sending His Son to die on the cross as the sacrifice for all. Because of Christ, salvation was no longer about Gentiles becoming Jews before they could follow God. In Christ, all who believe are part of one body. There are no longer barriers between Jew and Gentile, free people and enslaved people, or men and women.

Where the world wants to point out differences and create division, the gospel offers unity. Where the world says your gifts aren’t enough, your circumstances exclude you, your gender limits you or your finances define you, God invites you to be part of something different. He welcomes your gifts because He’s the one who created them. He sees your circumstances and walks with you through them, working all things for your good and His glory. He delights in His daughters and how He purposefully and intentionally created you.

Jesus loves you, not because of what you have or what you can offer, but because you are a daughter of God. You are chosen. You are known. You are not a mistake, a failure, or an inconvenience. When you have placed your faith in Christ, you are welcomed fully into the family of God.

All believers are one in Christ, and no one is excluded from the opportunity to accept Him as their Savior. As you seek to encourage others in the body of Christ with your unique gifts, remember that in Christ, we are all welcomed and accepted. His sacrifice breaks down walls the world sets up. All are one in Christ Jesus.

About this Plan

Beautifully Surrendered: God's Heart for His Daughters

We believe once we become Christians, our lives will suddenly be easy. God did not promise us a life free from pain or for any women we read about in the Bible, like Mary, Hannah, and Esther. Each had to walk through pain and live her life by faith rather than by sight. Each had to choose to trust God when she didn’t understand.
