DAY 11 OF 14

From Fearful to Secure

Lord, we are so caught up in our own fear and insecurity that we forget who we are or whose we are. The challenges of each day often leave us feeling so inadequate, anxious, and stressed about almost everything, that they cause a major impact on our every decision, on our relationships, and even on our own peace of mind and joy. We sometimes end up trying to cover up our fear or lack of confidence by saying mean, hurtful things or even being boastful. We are so sorry Lord, please forgive us.

Father, help us remember and know for certain that we are indeed secure in you because you, the King of kings and the Lord of lords call us your own. You loved us enough to redeem us by your own precious blood. When we are tempted to be fearful or anxious, remind us, Lord, that nothing indeed can separate us from you and that in you we are more than conquerors. Help us, Lord, as your sheep, to keenly listen to your voice and trust you to lead us each day, confident that we are safe in you, we pray.

Romans 8:38-39 – For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 10:27-29 – "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand."

Ponder this: What change will others see in me as I grow in my confidence in God’s inseparable love?
