The Names of Jesusናሙና
THE GLORY OF THE LORD
When I placed the names for this reading plan, I immediately knew that this name had to be the last one. It is not because it is the least important, but I see it as something that has come to pass already and a promise for the future. As we finish this plan, our focus should be on this Glory of the Lord. Not on our circumstances but our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Living, moving, walking in His presence resounds what the Psalmist says. Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. In His presence, we see His weightiness, His splendour, His glorious honour. This is the place where we see our proper place. Jesus has called us brothers and sisters, friends, not slaves, but at the same time, He is still Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
In Him, the Glory of the Lord is made known to us. He is the Glory of the Father! Before verse five, Isaiah speaks about clearing the way for the Lord, making a straight highway through the wasteland. We need to position ourselves in this way that in our lives, anything that takes the place of the Lord is taken out! Make the Highway straight!!
My prayer for you is that the Glory of the Lord will be revealed more in your life! That you will experience things with the Lord that will leave you flabbergasted and hungry for more of Him. That the Glory of the Lord will be revealed, and the people around you will see His glory in you.
