Smelling like Jesus

DAY 3 OF 5

Surely you have experienced being in a place long enough that was filled with strong smells such as food, paint, or perfume, and after leaving, your hair and clothes had that same smell; the smell permeated your body. This is exactly what happens in our lives when we seek to be in God’s presence incessantly. The spiritual world is much more real than we can imagine. When we live intimately with the Holy Spirit, demons can smell Christ in us, and therefore, we can walk victoriously. In Acts 19, we see the story of some men who were casting out evil spirits, and while doing so, a demon said to them: "I know Jesus and I know who Paul is, but who are you?" The evil spirit could not smell the fragrance of Christ on them and because of this, the men were beat so violently that they fled home naked and bleeding. How many times have we tried to face difficulties without God's help? How many times have we attempted to solve our problems with our own strength, and everything went wrong? Thankfully, as children of God, we have the opportunity to be so close to Him that his scent can permeate us. The fragrance of Christ is our victory. It opens doors for us; it takes us to places that we never thought we would go. It lifts us up, transforms us, and gives us authority. That being said, the only way the smell of Christ can stick to us, is if we go deeper in our relationship with Him, drawing closer, surrendering and humbling ourselves. I encourage you to take a step closer to Jesus. This may look like strengthening your prayer life, reading the Bible consistently, or fasting more often. Whatever you choose to do, I urge you to do it today!

About this Plan

Smelling like Jesus

Do you want to know more about God? Do you want God to use your life to transform this generation? What if I told you that the aroma of Christ can completely change your life? In this plan we will see how we can smell like Jesus and how we can go deeper in our relationship with Him. You can be the closest opportunity someone will have to smell Jesus.
