Fervent: Fight Fear With Faith ናሙና
Sometimes we may feel like we have reached the end of our endurance; that we just don’t have the strength to go on anymore. Our faith, resilience, and hope might be ebbing low. Our joy might have disappeared, and all we may have left is to sit and weep at Jesus’ feet. We may not even have words to pray but only groans and heart cries. Let us remember that even our Lord wept in the Garden of Gethsemane. So let us not be ashamed of our tears or our weakness. When our children come to us, hurt and in pain, we do not thrust them away or scold them for not putting on a braver front, do we? No, it is especially in such times that we draw them closer and hold them tighter. Remember, our loving Father embraces us when we go to Him in tears, and He accepts our prayers that there be no more delay. Let His love enfold us today and comfort our aching hearts as we offer our prayers for respite and hope without any more delay.
Pray for:
• A quickening of God’s purposes and plans – that there is no more delay in their coming to pass.
• Hope and joy to fill our hearts and strengthen us despite what we see around us.
• Comfort and peace in the midst of the storm.
