DAY 3 OF 3

THE LIFE OF THE RIGHTEOUS

The mouth of the righteous is a well of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. (Proverbs 10:11)

Are there righteous people on this earth? All humans are imperfect, only God is perfect. When Lord Jesus came to this world, He took the form of a human (100% human). However, He was also a powerful God that even the storms submitted to Him. Lord Jesus came to this world to save us and be an example of our life. In His human state, He took on the same body as ours, and naturally, He had emotions or feelings and wills.

The devil knew that Lord Jesus could be tempted in his human form, therefore, he came to tempt Jesus when He fasted and on other occasions. However, Lord Jesus did not want to be tempted by all forms of the devil's offer. Therefore, the word of God says that Jesus is the way, the life, and the truth.

Have we lived the truth as the followers of Christ? God will be pleased with our lives and our prayers will be powerful when we live in truth. This means that our prayers are answered by the Lord. Living in the truth can only happen if we are willing to take the time to study God's word and ask Him to give us a soft heart to obey His commands.

Prophet Elijah was an ordinary human being just like us. He was not a superhuman like the fictional stories in the movies. Yet Elijah kept his life right with God, and that made Elijah's prayer powerful. Apostle Paul also asked us to pursue holiness, because without holiness no one would be able to please God.

To live righteously is to live in the holiness of God. This will certainly result in extraordinary prayers.
