DAY 4 OF 5

Teach My Hands to War

“Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:” Psalms 144:1 KJV

Your gifts, skills, talents, and abilities were placed in you by God for a purpose. Every gift and skill belongs to Him. Psalm 144:1 KJV declares, “Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.” David declares that the Lord is his source and his strength. David declares that it is God who teaches his hands to war and his fingers to fight.

Even though David killed Goliath, He still submitted to God. Even though David had countless victories, He still submitted to God. David submitted to God and knew that he could not win apart from God. David knew that every victory was a result of God backing him.

Psalm 144:1 AMPC declares, “BLESSED BE the Lord, my Rock and my keen and firm strength, Who teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight.” David declared that God is his keen and firm strength. Let God be your keen and firm strength and secure foundation.

Psalm 144:1 NLT puts it this way, “Praise the Lord, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle.” God trained David. God led David. Let God train you. Let God lead you. Stay in a training posture. Stay moldable. Stay pliable. Stay coachable. Stay teachable. Let God teach your hands to war. Surrender your gifts to Him.

About this Plan

Cast Your Crown

We are not to worship or exalt our gifts, talents, abilities, and skills. We are to worship and honor Christ through our gifts. We are to bow to Him, for He has created all things, and all things were created for His pleasure. Let Christ lead your heart as you read this timely message.
