Great Adventurers (Week 2) ናሙና
Day Five - Listen and Follow
Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.
Let's continue our adventure with Joshua and ‘The Battle of Jericho’.
READ:
‘The Battle of Jericho’ in the Beginner's Bible (pages 132-135) or in Joshua 6:1-20.
After Joshua and his people had marched around Jericho seven times on the seventh day, the Priests blew their trumpets and the soldiers shouted as loud as they could. Then the great Walls of Jericho came tumbling down! “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”
Can you imagine how noisy this would have been? Very, very noisy!
We can make a noise or give a shout to God and see things change around us. We can worship God and see Him change things!
Next time you are unsure of something that may be happening around you, try worshiping. Try lifting a song to God.
ASK:
Think about the way you worship. Can you make a joyful noise?
Maybe you could look around your home for things you can use to make a joyful noise. Remember to ask your grownups before you use them.
REMEMBER:
‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26)
SAY:
I'm an adventurer. I am bold. I am strong. With the word of the Lord, I will follow. Wherever you lead, I won't stop. I've been set free! Amen!

In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world around them for good. God can take the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow in the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we’re looking at the story of Joshua and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
