Day 5: Jesus in a Manger (ornament in second blank flag)

Read: Luke 2:1-11

Discuss: The day had come. This was the beginning of a new chapter for the world, and indeed it is the most beautiful beginning that could ever have been written. Jesus, the Son of God came to earth as a baby! How the heavens rejoiced with sweet songs of angels worshiping the Lord on that night of Jesus’ birth! He had come...our Rescuer, our Savior!

Did the whole earth celebrate Jesus? Not yet. Wrapped in His mother’s love, Jesus looked like any other baby. But He was not just any other baby. He was a special miracle, a gift from God.

The beautiful rescue plan was still unfolding. God had a plan to defeat death, to release the grip of sin on humanity and bring eternal freedom to His beloved! Just you wait, my precious child, the best is yet to come! And just as the angels rejoiced, we have the opportunity to rejoice too! We have the opportunity today, and every day for the rest of our lives to live in worship to our KING JESUS!
