A Moment To Breathe: Find Rest In The Messናሙና
Building Bridges with Our Stories
Sometimes God asks us to turn the page of our life, but occasionally we get to look back. Recently I returned to the hospital where I had brain surgery. I’m tempted to look the other way as I was where I pushed my legs to walk again. But these pages in my story are the moments when God proved Himself faithful and strong.
You have a story, you know. And God is weaving a tapestry of beauty that will tell of His faithfulness when generations to come read the pages of your life. Inviting someone into your story is not easy – it means you’ll need to reveal a few scars. But Jesus said if people keep quiet, the stones will cry out in praise (Luke 19:40). But there’s no need for the rocks to cry out when we share our stories with each other.
Tell me of your mess; I will feel less alone. Allow me to hold your hand as you share bad news. Call me and we’ll have a dance party, from miles away, because He’s opened another door to your dream.
Share your story with those around you. Let’s be a community that shares our stories, gives Him the glory, and remembers that He is still writing. The story isn’t over yet.
