“All the believers were one in heart and mind…” Let’s take time today to pray over unity in our local churches. Satan loves to attack the body of Christ and cause discord. Can you imagine how God could move through us if we put away our silly arguments…our pride and instead were united in our love for God and reaching our communities with the love and hope only Christ can give?

And what about the way the early Christians viewed their possessions? They were generous and viewed what they had as ultimately God’s. They willingly sacrificed and gave to those who had unmet needs among them. This selfless act of giving and their unity of heart and mind was counter cultural back then, as it is today. Yet this is precisely what God used to attract others to them.

Let’s take time today to pray for our local churches. Pray for the Holy Spirit to bring supernatural unity in our churches and ask God to work in our lives and in the lives of those who go to our churches to help us all be generous and realize that all we have is ultimately His.

Help us Lord to focus our lives on You and be generous, giving with open hearts and hands.
