Terwyl Noag aan die ark geswoeg het, het die ander mense doodnormaal geleef asof niks gaan gebeur nie. Hulle het hulle aan niks anders gesteur as aan die alledaagse dinge soos wat daar te ete is of wie met wie trou nie. As jy na hulle gekyk het, het dit gelyk asof daar geen probleme was nie. Toe klim Noag in die ark, en dit het hulle ook nie beïndruk nie. Hulle het net gestaan en wonder waarom Noag nou so iets doen. Toe begin die reën val en val. Alles spoel later weg; hulle huise, diere en uiteindelik ook hulle self. Die koms van die Seun sal mense wat voortgaan asof niks gaan gebeur nie, ook so verras.
