One of my favorite quotes comes from the late Ruth Bell Graham. Years before her passing she said that when she died, she wanted these words written on her tombstone: “End of construction. Thank you for your patience.” So simple, yet so true! You are a work-in-progress. I am a work-in-progress. We even see that Paul, in the book of Philippians admits he too was a work-in-progress. Realize that NO ONE here on earth has “arrived” yet. We are all under construction. Just because you have areas in your life that God continues to renovate doesn’t mean you’re not growing and changing more and more into Christ’s image.

Please don’t get discouraged; we are all a work-in-progress until the day we make it to heaven. If you didn’t know it yet, God is in the construction business and you are part of His project. Forget the past. Focus on the future. Do you hear that? Christ is calling after you.
