Holy Week: Symbols of Suffering and LifeSample

Holy Week: Symbols of Suffering and Life

DAY 6 OF 7

Grave

Reflection Prayer

Gratitude: Start the prayer by grounding yourself in gratitude. Become aware of God's presence, even in moments of uncertainty or transition.

Ask for Light: Pray for the grace to see these liminal spaces through the lens of today's scripture. Ask for insight to recognize how God is present and working in these transitional moments.

Review the Day: With the passage in mind, consider your day.

Liminal Spaces: Reflect on moments today that felt like thresholds—times of waiting or not knowing what's next. How did you respond to these moments?

Jesus in the Tomb: Think about Jesus' time in the tomb—a time between death and resurrection—which mirrors your own experiences of waiting and hope. Where do you find yourself in a 'Saturday' state, living between the 'death' of old ways and the 'resurrection' of new life?

Trust: Reflect on how you trust God during these times. Do you resist and fear the unknown, or do you surrender to God's timing and plan?

Respond: Talk to God about your liminal spaces. Share your feelings of uncertainty, hope, or frustration. If you've struggled to trust God during these times, ask for the grace to trust more deeply.

Hopeful Intention: Inspired by Jesus' silent surrender in the tomb, decide to embrace your own liminal spaces with hope and trust. Consider a specific way you can live more openly in the uncertainty, trusting in God's resurrection power to bring new life.

End with a prayer of thanksgiving for God's presence in every moment of transition. Pray for the grace to face your liminal spaces with faith, hope, and the assurance of God's loving guidance and transformative power.
