The Waiting Season.

DAY 1 OF 5

Day 1: Why does God make us wait?

The waiting season is an indicator that there is a turning point coming in our story.

There are three reasons God uses it.

  • to prune us
  • to prepare us
  • to position us.

He does them because everything in our lives He sends to us and for us. To be fruitful, we need to be pruned, prepared, and positioned.

The waiting season is a time when we come into alignment with God to prepare us for what has been established for us.

The time difference between “Here I am” and “Send me” is a waiting period.

Referring back to the three reasons God uses a waiting period:

To prune us-Pruning is the process of removing damage. John 15:2- "Every branch that does not bear fruit, He takes away, and every branch that bears, He prunes, that it may bear more fruit." He takes us through a process that confronts the pain and trauma from our past.

To prepare us-When God gives us a vision during our waiting period, we should build on it by faith. Say it with me, “By faith, (your name) will get (what you are waiting for)

To position us-According to John 15:5, the thing God has called you to do, you cannot do except you remain in Him. If we abide in Him, it is a position where we are surrendered to Him so our roots in Him are deepened.

The waiting season is a sign of God’s Love.

So, you don’t know what to do in this season? Submit to the process.

Prayer:

I thank You, Lord, for the Mercy you have shown me, the Grace you have given me, and the Love you show me. In this waiting season, I ask that Your Will be done in our lives and that Your Holy Spirit dwell within us. I ask that You strengthen our faith and deepen our roots in You in Jesus' Name, Amen.
