GOD’S WILL

Everyone has a purpose and a plan that God has set for them. These plans and purposes the Lord has set for you will not change. For me, that would look like being a role model for my little siblings and the people around me. Not only do I take charge of helping them with homework or making sure they get their chores done, but I help lead them closer to the Lord, show them how to love and look out for others, and teach them what is right and what is wrong.

Last year, my sister and I wanted to go to the last day of state basketball at Mount Vernon Christian – they had a chance to win it all! My parents did not go with us, so we stayed with our grandparents. Although we had our grandparents, I had to help my sister and show her the right thing to do. As much as I wanted to go hang out with my friends, I also had a responsibility. I hope that what I taught my sister she will continue to do. I wanted to ensure that through everything, I teach everyone I cross paths with to love the Lord.

We are imperfect; we must realize that and put our whole heart and attention to Jesus, our Savior. We can look to Jesus, our new High Priest (Hebrews 4:14), and follow His will for our life. Through the tough times and the happy times, find joy in all circumstances. As we all grow in the goodness of God, we can learn our path and the role the Lord has set apart for us and seek the differences we can make in other people's lives.
