Perfect Image Bearer
Being in very nature God, Jesus the Son is God the Father’s ultimate image bearer.
Just as God the Father is holy, Jesus remained holy during His time on earth. Tempted in all the same ways we are tempted, He never sinned, qualifying Himself to be the sacrifice required for our reconciliation to God.
More concerned with God’s glory than His own comfort or convenience, Jesus obeyed the Father in all things. He reflected the Father in speech, demeanor, purpose, and action, demonstrated God’s grace and mercy to others through service and personal sacrifice at every turn. The ultimate example of this is the death He endured on the cross to pay the price we owed for our sin.
Jesus is order. Jesus is light. Jesus is life.
As a direct result of His obedience, Jesus is more than a role model; He is the Savior of the world!
